I just found out that as of August 8, 2008, Bell Mobility will be charging 15¢ for each INCOMING text message unless you buy a text message plan. So, on top of the higher-than-industry-standard "System Access Fee" (read: "Gouge the consumer some more fee"), you have to pay at least $3/mo for incoming text messages. Well, Bell, I will be telling you to disconnect any and all SMS activity from my cell phone (because your helpful support droid said you could on the 8th) and when my contract runs out (a contract I never should've signed) I will most likely be reviewing my cell phone options. You may keep my business and you may lose it. This little stunt, though, does not endear me to you. Poor Taste?

Are these companies that will start charging a text message fee going to stop the spam that we receive and have no control over? When my contract with Bell is finished, I will most likely not resign with them. Greedy SOB's

ARE YOU PPL NOT AWARE THAT THIS IS GOING ON IN THE U.S. AS WELL???? It has been like that for a while now in America. So don't blame it on Canada, they are just following suit. Everyone keeps telling the Canadian Telecommunication companies to adjust their prices and plans to coinside with American pricing - well thats what they are doing.
