What a joke Rogers is. I just paid $357 dollars for 10 weeks of cable an internet service, just to get rid of them. First I call in reaards to installing their service. I am quoted $57 for cable after promo's and rentals and $27 for internet after promo's. Plus I am told its free install for services. I agree and they come on Jan 13th to hook it up. Good right? Nope !! First invoice comes in over $300 for half of Jan and all of Feb. I look at the invoice and they have billed full pop for my services plus charged me for install. Five phone calls after dropped transfer and an hour and fourty five minutes I finally get an agent named Aneesh to help. First he tells me there is no way I was quoted those prices on a 2yr cable and 1 yr internet contract. He basically calls me a lier and says he can redo these deals on a 2yr contract for both and it would still work out to be a few dollars more. I agree and think all is well. On Jan 27th I get three calls on my cell from Rogers and finally answer. It is agent Umar with a follow up call and then asks if I would to take advantage of a TMN, MPIX promo. He offers me these channels for $6.38 a month over 2yrs. I agree and confirm with him the price and agreement. Well guess what ? Next bill comes in and its way over what it should be. Then I notice they have billed me full pop for the channels and for some stupid magazine. So now back to the phone for another hour. The agent Jessie tells me he can reverse the charges and remove the channels, but can't offer me that promo and suggested to write to the office of the president. I take his advise only to get a response saying I need to talk to a manger. So I do. The manager states he cannot offer that promo and admits that I was right about my original contract and also states Umar should not have called to offer such a promo. I state that thats wrong and I should recieve my channels as agreed. He decided to hold firm and so did I. I told him to cancel my services and wave the contract fees or I would take this further because as far as I could see Rogers had been in breach of contract from the get go. He said he would wave the contract penalties and my service would be disconnected April 6th. I am so happy. I have never been through so much horse crap. I am going to also follow up and write a complaint to the CRTC because Rogers should not be cold calling people offering promo's they can't deliver. Thats dirty.
