I refuse to get a Iphone until these plan come some what in line with the U.S.A. There is no reason why we need to pay these high prices. You can no tell me that our operating cost are that much higher that the U.S.A. I believe this is a complete cash cow on Rogers part and you should be ashamed to call yourself a Canadian company when all you are doing is raping your fellow Canadians. Poor Taste?

Why are people here so shallow??? Did it ever occur to you that Canada does not have the population density that the US does? It isnt any cheaper to run a wireless network in the US, there are just more people to pay for the costs. You seem to feel that there is no reason to pay these prices... You want the high end phone with the low end cost...talk about a sense of entitlement! Go buy yourself a pay-as-you-go phone if you feel that your budget cannot suppport your taste for data device.

The providers have reasons to charge more here, but they take that to the absolute extreme. Buy a pay as you go phone? You could buy one every month, and keep it stocked with minutes for what it costs to run an iPhone! Understanding reasons is one thing, but paying over $100 every month for phone service is another - reason or not, that's a pretty crazy thing to do as a consumer. Maybe the dealerships should have helipads on the roofs so their target audience can drop in between galas...

ok tell me this how come windmobile is giving away $35 unlmited data and another $45 for unlimited calling within canada with all calling features. how come rogers has a problem with offering the same? o and i dont leave toronto and dont mind paying roaming if i ever leave toronto ... let me know thanks

Ok that is true, wind mobile does have cheap rates. So get a quote and figure out how much it will be with all your features, take into account any reward system like hardware upgrades (I dont know if they have that) as well as quality customer service. I work in telecom complaints every day... and there are lots of things people dont think about but let me tell you.. waiting HOURS on hold, getting hung up on, not having anybody document your account after offering something or speaking with you, etc etc the list goes on. So generally, the saying of "If its too good to be true" applies.

It is sad, but you gotta keep hounding them. They know they are overpriced and even admit it on the phone. Tell them what you want and call them back. After 3 or 4 calls, you'll get it. Is it worth the hastle....maybe and maybe not. I told a Rogers rep today that locking in for 3 years is sort of ridiculous when everyond knows prices are coming down from more competition.

if you don't think that population density has nothing to do with prices, here is an example, the population of Canada coast to coast is the same population as New York State, that means that fewer towers are required to service the same amount of people. If Canada's population was 300 Million things would probably be different
