I just bought an HTC Dream, and the $45/month plan turned into an $80/month plan, and even with that I don't get caller ID. I figured that's fine I'll only expect calls from people I know, aka people on my contacts list. Turns out I don't even know if it's one of my contacts who's calling me, every single call i get is from Unknown. I need caller ID if I want to see ANYTHING when I recieve a call. Poor Taste?

Um yeah I would expect "free" call display on a flippin' $60+ plan actually. Look up the pay-as-you-go phones (that aren't directly from Rogers, Bell or Solo anyway), caller ID is free and so is voicemail (more or less). As far as I'm concerned caller ID should be part of the "system access fee" to make it just a bit less of a BS charge (note that the cheaper PAYG providers also have no system access fee, other than 911)

You will need to pay EXTRA money for this basic service (in my country I get it for free, and don't even need to ask for it) That's what ROGERS shitty customer service told me. I recently move to Canada and decided to get a plan for my cellphone, without knowing much of this country and its mobile phone service companies, I made a contract with Rogers, and it turned out to be the worst WORST service I've ever had... beginning with this 'No caller ID shite', endless calls from customer service (yes endless, and USELESS calls), and so on... damn I think I will switch to Bell.. what do you think guys?

JULIO why are you getting calls from rogers? Not paid your bill? Are they soliciting? Step one Pay your bill, Step two tell them to put you on the do not solicit list. Stop being a dork and use your brain. Your arguments are weak. Frabar what is this $80 a month plan your talking about.. don't start an argument without giving full details on what you are arguing about. and a system access fee is... A SYSTEM ACCESS FEE not a 911 fee or a call display fee or a voicemail fee or a data fee.. or anything else. So why should they start putting that into it? next people won't wont call display and the next complaint on here will be.."why do i need to pay this system access fee i don't want call display". damn people on here keep getting dumber.
