I have gotten four bills for my i-phone for over 500$ each. The plan I signed up for was 75$ a month. And I barely use it. I would have no problem paying something I owed, but they REFUSE to tell me how my bill is broken down, where I went over, ect. I've paid two of them, but they keep coming and I can't afford to keep paying. When I call they keep telling me to pay the bills and THEN the problem will be resolved. So far the two bills I have paid have never been resolved. My credit rating is getting slaughtered and I have no idea what to do.

My friend had a similar problem last year and she eventually took them to court where she won. She was reembursed in ROGER'S CREDIT! That's pointless! I will never go with Roger's again!

i hate rogers, they are money eating company like air canada. watch out guys.

I have had a cell phone and paid the bills always on time. I was told when I purchased the cell that there was no contract and that is what I stressed. Now I use my cell very little and I called Rogers to cancel my cell and they said I have a 3 year contract and that if I wanted to cancel they would charge me $180.00.

They then put me on hold and gave to two other persons that asked the same questions and finally on the third person they just left me on hold for over 30 minutes till I finally gave up. I am going to put a stop payment on their automatic withdrawal and will be forced now to deal with a collection agency as per my conversation with the TD bank who said they have many complaints from their customers about Rogers.
I also checked the internet and found that this is the norm for Rogers and that they can get away with this due to our government not addressing Rogers business practises.

I also sent e mail to Better business Bureau, PC party head quarters and Rogers themselves.I was told by the another customer that I might want to go to one of the Rogers booth and dealt directly with the person. I hope they can help. Rogers is as bad as Pitney Bowes in dealing with customers and basically telling lies to get your business.

I am very upset with the rogers services, I am with Rogers since last 10 years and giving me very hard time and wrog bills and sent to the collection ageinces without my notice.

 

Dear Mr. Nadir, This is request regarding my past account (596056564) for Rogers wireless. I was new to country and I had no idea how the wireless contract works here and I had no credit card. One of my friends who worked for Rogers told that he will take a phone in his name and let me use that and I have to give him my share only. After three months I found out that he is asking way more than normal bill ($ 250) for my small Samsung phone without data service. I decided to take over the account and then I added one more phone (Blackberry) with data from a Rogers’s dealer near to my house. While doing so the dealer asked me to sign a contract with them and they will give me $50 credit which I never received.  Anyway after two months we started getting some premium messages which were $2 per sms (which I came to know after one month). Thus, the bill cropped up to $470 and I called Rogers customer care and requested to take out the amount for premium sms. They clearly told that they can’t help and I have to pay the entire amount otherwise they will disconnect my connection. That point of time I was a student and I had no money for that amount. Rogers disconnected the phone after and they kept on sending bills after I even told that I am going out of country (as my grandfather died)for three months and requested to change my plan to lowest. Right now the amount is $2,047 and it is in my credit file also. I got a small job and willing to pay the $470 to clean my credit. Today I got a call from a collection agency called Collect Corp., the collector actually very rude and she asked me to pay $1147 immediately otherwise she will send it for legal department as well as will ruin my credit totally. She told me I do not have to pay the cancellation amount which is $900 but I have to pay $1,147. I told her the entire story but she told that I have sign contract (which I never read as it was very very long and the agent actually told that she will tell us what is written there), without reading the contract on good faith I signed the contract. Now what should I do? I am an immigrant student who just started the career here and already in trouble with credit as nobody contacted me in between. Sir I do have genuine intension to pay $470 which also includes those premium messages which I never opted for. But I cannot pay $1,147. The way she threaten me for legal act and in future they will create more problems. She also said that next bill will be higher with legal fees and lawyer fees. Now I don’t know what I should do. The collector also said to me that I should beg money from people. Sir I am so harassed and ashamed. I don’t want to go for any court matter. I do have two little kids so I can’t fish myself. She also told I am paying my Visa. Sir I would request you to enquire that for me, it is a student visa card and having credit limit of $500. I can pay the minimum balance as it is small amount.
