Hey Man, you seems to be a little upset with the immigrants in Canada. Guess what, Canada was made of immigrants. Just FYI.
The problem with Rogers is simple. They make 98% (it's not made-up, it's the real figure) profit margin with NEW customers, they are able to hook-up people in 3 years contracts while in the US and Europe it'S 1 or 2 years contracts (even for the iphone)...and i can go like that for hours.
The problem with Rogers and the Canadian communication network is that there is a situation off oligopoly with Bell, Telus and Rogers and in the same time with a canadian regulation which is by no mean as responsive as its american counterpart.
And finally Rogers make countless mistakes in the billing, so you can understand why customers call asking for rebates etc... because it's really not that well done on Rogers' side. And immigrants can compare with other countries (where they come from/travel) and even if some really poor countries, the services are cheaper/better. And theses immigrants are the same who brought the need of expensive service etc.. it's the immigrants who buy those symbian etc...because they got used to them 10 years ago.
So please hold your tongue before bitching on immigrants, they might not speak a very good english, but most of them speak french and a third language if not a fourth one. So please stop doing those stupid remarks that make me reconsider the warmth of Canadian!

I must say, the author of this complaint sounds quite disgruntled. I work for a satellite communications company, doing pretty much the same job. Dealing with irate customers is part of the job!!! Do I get a lot of nutty customers who demand far too much? You bet I do. Are some of them even downright morons? Yes, they are, but this is what working customer service is all about.Rogers would likely find a reason to hike their prices no matter how many or how few agents they pay to answer the phones. Customers that don't complain simply don't get credits and the ones that do complain will get the credits. Simple as that. Almost every phone company has a retention department because they know full well that people will never be satisfied with their services or the price they pay for them. Sounds like customer service is not the author's forte. By the way, I find it rather disturbing that the author is so intently focused on customers who speak English as a second language. It's just so silly. Depending on where you live in Canada, immigrants outnumber non immigrants. The author seems to have some deep seeded issues with ethnic diversity. It can sometimes be difficult to communicate with someone who has not mastered the English language, but what is a non native speaker to do? Would the author prefer that they simply not even try to speak english? Learning a new language takes time and a lot of practice, much as working in a customer care environment requires patience and professional attitude. The only thing Rogers is guilty of is allowing one of their employees to become this jaded and verbally abusive, or hiring someone this jaded and abusive. As I stated earlier, I work customer service for a satellite communications company and we answer calls from North America, South America and Europe. Most people that call in dial into the English line as we don't have enough bilingual agents. And you know what? I manage to take the calls and resolve the customers issue one way or another. The customer may not always like the answer, but I make sure they understand exactly what I am attempting to communicate. The author needs to take a step back and think about what the real issue is here. |

although Canada's population consists almost entirely of immigrants, there are many, many immigrants who come here to leech off of our social systems and hide behind our lenient human rights and criminal laws. It was remembrance day today, and as I walked around campus, 1 in about every 100 people were wearing a poppy. As we had our minute of silence in class to remember those who fought for our freedom, this Indian "gangster" couldnt stop chuckling and refused to take his hat off.
I hate people like that. Disrespectful during the playing of the national anthem and moments of silence, and taking advantage of such a wonderful country such as Canada. Many immigrants come from absolute shit-holes where they can't find clean water, or are in constant fear of being killed or bombed. Then they come here and conspire against Western society and think they have all sorts of power and respect in our country. It makes me sick to hear ignoramuses saying "oh ya, Canada sucks ass I wish I was back in Banglaadesh or Russia or wherever the hell I came from". So here's a pointer, get back to those countries because we don't need you. To anybody saying that we need immigrants due to a population crisis, the world is EXTREMELY overpopulated, and our resources being overused and abused. Especially in North America, where people use substantially more amounts of energy, produce more waste, and hurt the planet more than any other developing nation in the world. The last thing we need is MORE people in North America. I'm not saying immigrants are bad or any sort of thing that any liberal idiot would take out of context and call me a "racist". It's just sad because when I apply for medical school, even though I may have a decently high average, an Indian or Chinese student with an A+++++++++ average will steal my hard-earned position, even though that student has done nothing to contribute to the community, nothing to contribute to the country, and has absolutely no intentions on assimilating to our way of life. A prime example of over-immigration is the Toronto 18. The terrorists that immigrated to Canada and plotted to kill CANADIAN citizens. Fuck immigrants. There should be much more stringient immigration policies to stop letting all these religious extremists in our country. And if you want to bitch and moan about people like me and call me a racist, don't complain when public transit and Canadian monuments become targets of massive terrorist attacks. There hasn't been an attack on Canadian soil yet, but its bound to happen with all these crazy bastards running around our country. |

wellll, let me first say i use to work for cable billing and the same thing there with the biliing crap. the pakys will have 20% discounts on all aspects of the bill and still call for more discounts, then u look at the past interactions and see that previous agents gave them 50% off on top of the 20 and still threaten to cabcle but thats when i would mention the contract they are on and id get the same story..."i never agrees to a contract"...rogers customers are so fucking dumb it hurts.
now i work for rogers wireless tech support it only got worse, customers actually get mad at you because they cant find a button on the main screen on the phone...the agent would refer the customer to the store for help and they would refuse want a manager and such like WTF? anyway im not racist but its hard not to be nowadays, thx for reading bye!! | | Poor Taste?

AMEN - I agree completely. Im sick of listening to them and having to talk to them everywhere. And I am SICK of them in the service industry taking orders and they cant understand shit. Get off the roads, get your 42 family members packed up, get back on a plane and GO HOME. Did you really come to Canada to work at Tim Hortons?? Is that your great plan on a better life? Go back to Pakistan and make some coffee there. I cant stand these morons anymore. If you are going to come here and stay, then change and conform to our way of life. We dont need your way of life in Canada - ours suits us just fine. If you dont like how we do things, or how we feel about you - go home - please please please go home. |
