Since our dollar has jump to $0.98-$1.10, you would think that Timmy would be able to cut the price of its coffee by 30 to 50% instead they increased it? There is a HUGE mark up on coffee and still, they bump up the price. Well I stopped drinking it. And the donuts are also crap too!! Poor Taste?

actually....not only is their coffe overpriced but they alway seem to get my order wrong (cream, no sugar) at the drive -thru, so by the time I have to turn back and bring my coffee back...the gas that I have probably used has just doubled that price because of their incompitence,

It only cost pennies to make a cup of coffee, yet Tim Horton's raised their prices even though the dollar is at par. I have to pay $1.49 now for a large coffee that only costs $00.20 to make. That's a 300% profit margin. Does anybody else see a problem here?

Anonymous, It not the money it's the principle of the mater. Everything in our economy should have gotten cheaper and this has not happened. The same happened when the GST was introduced good should have dropped in price by 8% but did not. Our dollar went up in value resulting in goods coming into our country become cheaper for retailers and manufacturers to buy. As a consumer you should be voicing your opinion and not stand for this. Take all the money you spend a year lets say $10 000 and save 20% from that = $2000.00 in your pocket!! instead of companies like Timmy. Were they make 300% profit on a cup of coffee.

Worst coffee I ever tasted at Tim Hortons... Has no true coffee taste as it should have.. Does taste like washed out dishwater. But thats what they fool the public with.. Better coffee on the ferries crossing lake Michigan.. Of coarse the Americans always get the better coffee before the Canadians do.. As I am an old trucker who has had the better stuff. Coffee should taste like it is coffee not the washed-out flavour that is being pushed on the public.. I,ve been in the original Tim Hortons as I was born in Hamilton. Only 3 blocks south of that first store on Ottawa Street North... Last time I was in Grimsby there was at least 3 or 4 Tim Hortons.. Remember a few years ago Baby Duck wine was popular, it faded out eventually. Again I say that the people are being fooled into Tim Hortons no taste coffee. You couldn't give me a coffee from that place! Even if it was free....Trouble nobody believes what I say as the general public dosen't understand or have the smarts to realize how that bad coffee is bad coffee.. Yellowcar...

Water cooler question....So what is the mark up on a Tim Hortons coffee? If you pay $1.52 for a large coffee, what are the factors influencing the cost (water, heating the water, the coffee grains, transportation..etc) and most importantly the actual profit excluding all these factors?

It's called inflation. Minimum wage is now 10.25, they have to make enough money to pay everyone, plus the cost of everything else is up. Just because our dollar is high doesn't mean prices in Canada get cheaper. Demand in the US is higher so therefore, less expensive. Make coffee at home. You will save your 30-50%.

Tim Hortons, what a joke. Expensive, yes. $7.95 for a frigging coffee mug!!!!!!!!!! Talk about christmas gouging. And you yuppies will buy it and advertise thier product for free! Make your own. I've been doing it all my life and the cash I save is amazing. My coffee is about 18 cents a cup (any size). How much was yours today? Convenient you say, I say get off your lazy butt and do it yourself. Any other TH product is full of junk that you don't need. I've only been to TH about 3 times in my life and every time there was something wrong. (out of doughnuts, old coffee, bread like rocks, YUK!). I avoid it like the plague.

Well here it is again. The price of timmy products going up once again. It has not yet been cofirmed that coffee will jump 7cents but you can be sure this is just the easy let down to yes of course it is going up on a cup of coffee........ It wasnt that long ago that it jumped 7cents....... that is quite a jump......What would be really nice is if when you wait in the line up and actually do get your coffee that is be exactly what you ordered......... Well I started a year ago when they hiked the price up on coffee making it at home and have saved a ton of money....... maybe one day the line ups will be less if they keep hiking it 7cents a time
