Yup as you guessed it Rogers will always live up to its name
of being the biggest douches in cell service providing history. I currently
have a corporate plan with Rogers and have been a client of theirs for well
over 9 years... despite the oodles of dollars I shelled out to them over the
years, if i want to upgrade to the iPhone... I would have to give up my
corporate plan to pay over 3 times as much per month, lose evening and weekends
starting at 6pm, drop 499.99$ for the iPhone (16 gig) tack on an extra 120$ for
the upgrade fee and voila my first bill would be roughly 600$ + taxes. I heard
of taking it up the ass but this is like using a drill with 12" diameter
bit embedded with razor blades. So do I buy an iPhone and lose half of my mortgage
or get the new pearl and keep my plan.
Another random tim bit of information... the CRTC will not allow any other
cellular service provider to use GSM. Strange isn't it? I smell a monopoly.
