Am in London UK here but have lived in Canada in the past... as nice as the iPhone is, who in their right mind would spend that kind of money for the privilege? Rogers is a bloody joke... for comparison, O2 offer the iPhone 8gb for free on 18 month £45 (~$CAD 70) contract, including 1200 min, 500 text and unlimited data/wifi... this in a country where things (like groceries, rent, etc) cost double as they do in Canada, this has me gobsmacked... Canada is supposed to be known for superior telecommunications - with that you would expect reasonable prices to go hand in hand... what are Rogers playing at gouging their customers like that? All I can say is I'm glad I had the opportunity to gouge them back when I was a customer of theirs years ago... 3 months into a 3 year plan I moved abroad, phone and all, but not before a heartwarming conversation with Rogers Wireless support to inform them that they would be swallowing the $800 of early cancellation fees.
