Wow am i ever getting screwed, apparently i don't even control my own account!
I am willing to pay for the phone, sign for the contract, and pay extra for a data plan (limited time offer deal). I am one of many who signed up to Rogers years ago by those dealers that go from workplace to workplace. Got a good deal, and don't want to lose it, just want to upgrade. I've been able to upgrade twice, add features, and the bill is bundled in with the rest of my services.
The iPhone is "special" according to a rep, who explain that i "cannot upgrade using promotional prices without contacting my telecom administrator" and having them sign off on some special form. Wha? My employer didn't endorse Rogers to come in and make a deal; they were passing out flyers... to anyone. The account code is apparently corporate, so they refuse to help. When i asked for them to direct me to who i may contact, i.e. the telecom administrator, they refused saying they could not give out that information. What again?
Talked to a supervisor (Kyle) who told me the same thing, but was graceful enough to transfer me to a queue that may assist me. Bullshit. Was on hold for over 30 mins before i gave up.
They have NO problems handing me the phone if i pay the $599 for it outright, but i am not entitled to any type of promotional prices without an unknown individual authorizing this shit on an account fully under my name, and been paying for years.
Monopolizing bullies changing rules in the middle of the game... hell yeah.
Anyone know any good consumer watchdogs i can get in touch with??????
Bite me Rogers, like you don't take enough.
