I guess you should tell them that you will hire a lawyer and sue them. What evidence you have is that there must be a record when you call out with any phone from one country to another. And this can be a criminal law, they will take this seriously.

I'm a real shmuck and I'll admit it. I did my sister a favour by taking over her cellphone contract (which had 2 years left on it) so that she could leave the country. So she called them and we set everything up so that I would continue on her contract and she wouldn't get stuck paying the 300 or so dollars they charge for cancellations and I even told her to keep the phone she had made the contract with. It had been one year since she left, and the phone I was using finally crapped out on me and I needed a replacement. I was really dead set on an iPhone at that time, so I opted to cancel my contract which was probably 100-150 tops. Called Rogers to find out to my dismay they had set me up on a brand new 3 year contract, instead of continuing my sister's account. Now sure I was eligible for a "hardware upgrade", which is really a euphemism for "contract renewal" but non of the Android phones at the time interested me at all. What bummed me out was that had I known I was going to renew my sisters 3 year contract I would've asked for a new phone with the discount. So.... ahfuck you Rogers.
