My 2 year contract with Rogers has just come to end, and Im happy to switch cell phone companies FINALLY.
During these 2 years, Rogers has ripped me off for over 100$ on 2 different occassions. Latest one was charging me extra 21$ for text msgs sent to US - a sudden change in text message plans WITH NO WARNING. For almost 2 years I had a 2500 sent text message plan for 10$ that included both Canada and US - this July I suddenly get charged extra for all US messages. Wtf Rogers?????
Previous rip-off was when last summer a CS rep called me and offered to try out some of their services free for a month, so I agreed to check out Call Display. The nice rep forgot to mention, that when he added me the free tryout bundle, they had also cancelled my text message plan ... I ended up paying over 80$ extra for 2 months (due to personal issues had not checked bill earlier).
NO WARNING, NEVER ASKED THEM TO CHANGE THE PLAN! No excuses when I called them, just told me to blame myself for no regularly checking their website to know all about how their plans change!!!
DO NOT BUY ROGERS PHONES. THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF ON EVERY OCCASSION POSSIBLE, and their reps will not even apologize for it.
If you are forced to use Rogers for whatever reason, CHECK ON THEIR PLAN CHANGES EVERY MONTH, because they tend to change them with no warning to rip more $$$ off their customers.
