I want to buy a iphone 3G to my son, but after we learned there will be a $30.00 Data Plan, we decide not to buy it.  Since he only need to use the wi-fi and all other cool features.  My son already spend too many times on the internet, we don't want him has a another chance to surf the internet more often.  Most of all, we don't want to pay extra $30 for it.  Rogers should not force people to have this plan unless they want to.
