I can't believe how many people that I know signed the original petition caved and went and got an iphone. The funny thing is, they used it alot in the first week, and now the use is sporadic. I mean, how many times are you apt to Google a resto or bookstore on the fly?I for one, have set up an alt for my home internet (no, not Bell) and am looking to find an alt to my television cable needs. Also, I told Fido what i wanted regarding my current grandfathered plan in conjunction with obtaining an iphone and decent data, and they rejected my offer. So, I informed them to strip away all of the 'must have' features, as they call them, and that in less than a year, when my contract is up, I will be leaving them to move to a mobile carrier more adept to the changes in the marketplace as well as the needs of the consumer.Bell/Telus are most assuredly switching to GSM so as not to miss out on roaming revenue for the Olympics, and the new cellular spectrum winners will be up and running by spring..... For me, it's not as much reducing my costs, as it is the need to receive full value for what I pay for services...
