Froose, no one could be that big of a fan-boy and NOT work for Rogers. So let me get this straight.. You don't mind the 3yr contract..even though the rest of the world has a choice of no contract or up to 2 yrs max? You don't mind paying the second highest in the world to own the iPhone? Which will turn to the highest in the world after the August 31st data offer expires. So basically you enjoy being taken advantage of and treated like a dumb sheep who does what he is told and never questions anything. Good for you! But other people feel differently.

It's not about the cost of the phone, and it's not even about the cost of the rate plans. It's about being blatantly taken advantage of by a monopolistic company. And BTW the iPhone isn't some type of engineering marvel, and like everything else something  will not only match it, but beat it very soon. It doesn't even have a removable battery, video camera, the GPS  is substandard, and as an actual phone the sound quality is worse then a 5 year old motorola. It's far from perfect and wont be as hard to beat as you might think.

Beck... have you even used an iPhone? Everything you just typed tells me no and that you're regurgitating 3rd hand mis-information (at best).

Get your hands on one, use it and then tell me how shitty you think it is after that. And why are you here if you think it's such a second rate product anyway? Are you just here to have your voice heard and fight 'the man'?

Froose, I was interested in what your reply would be to the first paragraph of Beck's comment. But you didn't address it at all. 

If her allegations of your personality is true then let me say that if u are a company CEO or managing any sort of business or personal finance, you are not getting the best return on your investment.  You've got to learn to reduce costs, increase profit margin in whatever you do. 

Let me say that if the people of ruinediphone.com did not cause a jumbo complaint, you would not even have the $30/month for 6 GB data plan.  So first of all, let me thank everyone on here.   Yes you'd be paying about 80$ per month Froose, but I assume thats for the 60$ base rate plus essentials and system access fee, so you would've only gotten 400 MB of data per month, thanks to these people you call losers, you are getting 6 GB now. Therefore learn to have graciousness and humility.

From your rudeness, you obviously are not a very high class person.  I am assuming then you are some one who is young and taking money for granted or just living paycheck to paycheck, spending it all and saving none. Well that is not how us rich people think.  If you want to be rich and maintain your wealth, you've got to think like an investor and a deal maker, not a blind consumer who irreversibly uses up all of his monthly cash flow.

so yeah iphone isnt the only one out there that is so ultra cool, I could care less about iphone, i am more interested in robbers reducing their rate plans..thats why I am here.

oh did I mention, windows mobile devices have more than 18000 applications available from hundreds of software developers, vendors etc etc.....iphone only has 500 official ones.

I have city fido, with voice mail, caller id display, 1000 text messages a month and I pay $66 total including all taxes, etc.  My renewal window was this month, I just bought the 16gb Iphone, renewed city fido for 3 years, signed for 3 year $30/6gb data plan and used 122 fido dollars toward iphone cost. 
So I now have my iphone with unlimited calling, and basically unlimited texting and data, etc for total each month with taxes, etc $110
I'm HAPPY HAPPY and I don't work for a cell company.

Its not just renewing your contract, i have a 3 year contact with fido about over a year into the contract. Fido will not let ,me upgrade my krazr to the iphone, i would gladly renew my existing contract, i dont see a point in why there doing this. they make a hell lot of money by allowing people to renew old contracts and still pay 249$+ for the phone.
