Red, now when you said $57/month, that didn't sound too bad, for 6GB (as a start). But from what I'm gathering, it really is the essentials, like the call display, more txt. messages, and visual voicemail, things that would actually be of some use that really end up screwing the customer over.  Now if that is the case, I would still consider that to be too much with those essentials. But if you can end at a monthly bill of $50- $57, for the iPhone, that's good. If it goes higher, then it will continue to do so because with being the data hog that it is, the iPhone's going to continue eating it up, without doubt. 

hmmm... to be honest, I'm not sure. I've never had cell phone bill on my own... married for years now. Because we are on a couples plan it's cheaper... as soon as you go solo the price goes up. If I was to guess, I bet an iPhone for an individual is going to be around $70- a month. At that point it's whether you can pay it or not. Remember, even for a data hog, 6 gigs is HUGE! Your voice will be $25-30, data will be $30- plus fees. I truly don't think you will see prices any lower.

And I have to stress again: Even if Rogers introduced an 'unlimited' plan, there would be fine print stipulations with a cap on usage.

Even a 'lifetime' warranty has a cap of 25 years...

I am paying $57 + SAF + 911 + taxes per months in services for iPhone.

yes that includes a lot of voice minutes and 6pm eve/wknd, 6GB data, 2500 text-out/unl inc text, VVM, Call display, and unlimited calling to friends with rogers cellphones :)

$30 plan for 6GB is fair.  I haven't used more than 40MB of data /day despite all the APP downloads and playing around with GPS and web browsing.

I wonder how many of the 60,000 actually refrain from purchasing an iPhone.  Because guess what?  It is still SOLD OUT!

It's a phone for crying out loud, that has some 3rd party apps, most of which people never use. I was in love with the iPhone until Rogers stuck thier filthy hands up my ass with thier crap rates. Im waiting on the Blackberry Thunder. Much sexier and smaller than the iPhone. And Telus has WAY better plans than Robbers.

Hey Froose, your an asshole... Wanna know why.. because your the dumb one that would get ripped off. Its about saving money and for it to be fair... If you knew that the US offered an unlimited data plan with voice service all for 40 bucks... wouldn't you wonder what the fuck... why is it so much... There are thousands of people here who probably have way better jobs than you and I.. Me as a Computer Engineer I can tell you whoa we are definitely being fucking ripped off... plus you have to sign a a 3year contract.. thats insane... the US is offering a 2 year term..

@Chris ... FYI Yes you do pay less for telus .. but your also getting a much crappier service.. You only get EDGE and not 3G .. EDGE is slow as shit... Also their service area is much smaller ... so yes it makes sense that you would pay less as you are getting less.
