V Voicemail not possible w 6 GB fido data plan!!!

I have spoken to a couple of Fido reps that say that the iphone's visual voicemail will only be included as part of one of the iphone's data/voice packages. Therefore, I cannot order the 6 GB data plan and add the visual voicemail option - the only way I can get the 6 GB data plan for $30 and Visual Voicemail together is to sign up for one of their packages that already includes data and minutes, THEN add the $30 6 GB plan on top of that!!! This seems crazy to me - has anyone heard differently? Is Rogers doing the same? Poor Taste?

Hi Ruby, There is another option for you: If you dont do their data/voice pack and you do the 6GB data plan with just a normal voice plan you can add on the 15.00 iphone value pack which includes call display, who called, 2,500 text messages and the visual voicemail.

Rogers has the iPhone Value Pack (2500 texts + call display + v-voicemail) of $15 Or you can get v-vocicemail alone for $8

kara, i was told that Fido's $15 iphone value pack does not include visual voicemail - it is the actual phone and data package that includes this feature. apparently if you add the $15 value pack to the $30 - 6 GB plan and a stand alone voice plan, Visual Voicemail will not be included.

You were clearly misinformed and those reps were clueless and/or crooks trying to get you to pay more than necessary (which is already the case anyway!). It is stated directly on the website, at the bottom of the 6GB for 30$ deal page. http://www.rogers.com/web/content/wireless-plans/iphone_adpacks

Just a heads up on this, a bit of mis-information here, if you score that package, you grab the 15 doller "bonus" pack, comes with 2500 texts, caller id, visual voicemail, call waiting, and such, you just managed to somehow get a rep who really didnt know what they were talking about ^_^

Ruby: ah... my bad, sorry. I just went to the Fido website and yeah, I couldn't find anything about a 15$ package that would include Visual Voicemail. But I have a colleague who will will receive his iPhone from Fido in a few days and he was told that with his 30$ data plan, he could add the 15$ package that include Visual Voicemail... I hate it when reps all have different informations.

I am deaf person. I really love GSM Network carriers for SMS/Text. I enjoyed prepaid SIM CARD my unlocked blackberry. No Personal Email Needs Contract is pain! Rogers is unfriend to colour human rights. 1. Carrier products to customers Rogers use customer money for AIDS donate. Rogers should not proud than customers. 2. Same service Rogers pull the money out customer's pocket for different services advertises. It is STEAL. Against the law.

i bought the iphone on fido couple plan with no data plan and i ve already used 11mb and that costs $600 for 5 cents a kb but if i add the 6gb plan will it cover the costs ive only had the phone foe a day i was planing on getting it anyway

Prepaid fido a joke! I have not been able to find any person or way to access my voice mail - the system does not recognize my ph # no matter what they or I do. And of course being on a prepaid system they dont refund your money. At 30 cents a minute for local outgoing calls, its a huge rip off, and incoming is unlimited but only within Canada. And everyone thought Bell was gouging! Thinking of using my $50.00 to call US at $2.00 a minute and then go to another company. Totally frustrated!
