Get a new job if you can't handle customer care. You're also probably full of shit. I've worked your job and seen the types that go through there. So many brag about 'screwing customers' with these silly embellished stories which are more often than not a story you hear coming out of rumours in another call centre. Why do I doubt you do this? QA happens enough and the metrics are watched. Anyone working in Rogers knows if you have a hold time which is unproportianately high compared to talk time, you're going to have people listening in on the fly.

Either way, you've proven that you need to try getting a new job if you can't handle the CSR industry.

Err. I was a bit harsh so I'm sorry about that. Still though balls don't get bigger the more you fuck with the clients. In your defense though, you do have to eat a lot of shit with a smile.

If I get super bored I'll post some links to a few interesting calls into Customer Care (I have to remove all mention of company names and clients for both their protection, and so I don't get calls from angry lawyers), involving the most rude and disgusting customers who abuse Customer Care reps. I mean, I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't like hearing a person yell and scream about how they will sodomized and rape my future children because I'm just a Customer Care rep.    =p
 
CSR's get the brunt of all negativity generated by a company, and deserve a lot more credit than anyone gives them, not to mention better pay and extra stress leave covered by the company. Next time your internet is slow or not working at all, call in and show them a bit of love. More often than not, you'll get 100x the service than if you just call in and bitch. If a caller made my day just a bit better amidst the rude and inconsiderate, I'd bend over backwards to make them happy.

Goes the other way too. I usually go into a call with a positive attitude, giving the CSR the benefit of the doubt, when they are rude and don't give a shit, then I turn on the rude too. The job of a CSR sucks, I'm sure, but they could make their own lives easier by

LOL.. the funny thing is you are probably wondering why you are only making 13 bucks.  With an attitude like that.. you are way over paid as it is.  I work for Rogers and never do that and never would.  People get pissed and upset over various different things, you are the reason websites like this are made.  You ever want to move up.. and actually make more then 13 bucks you have a lot of work to do. 

Dude, I totally know how you feel. I used to work at a Call Center as well and some people take out way too much frustration on people who they obviously haven't dealt with before. I had a lady once drop at least 15 F bombs in a minute span and so I set the phone down for a while and went and got a drink and talked to some people and then came back and because she was still talking, transfered her to something entirely irrelevant for wasting so much of my time. People need to remember when they phone in that the person on the other line isn't a cold hardened machine. A lot of people think that being "listened in on" would matter but it doesn't because it is real obvious when it happens, you can hear your supe pick up their line and then you behave. Real basic. Don't fuck with support workers and they won't fuck you back.

I do too lol...I worked at telus and did the same thing... not to people who a rational, i am talking abouth the psycho aholes who will have a freaking coniption and call me every name in the book cause i cant credit them $450 million dollars cause they are a dumass and went way over their minutes, like come on you pick ur package of 150 daytime minutes and used 1000 and im gonna risk my job and credit you, oh ya and i offer the max that i can which is all i can do and nope so...
