Rogers needs to offer better plans. 6GB is probably enough, but there will be lots of people who think not. REMEMBER, for the iPhone, it is not just surfing the web, or checking mail that uses data, we have tons of apps that will be using it, and many of us could accidentally go over the cap. There should be unlimited data across the board, it hardly costs them anything to give it to us (once the infrastructure is in place). $30 is not unreasonable for this... for now. Also included in the data, should be SMS/MMS (I know the iPhone doesn't support the latter). There caller ID package, which allows you to download ringtones, there WhoCalled feature (which is completely useless and has been for the last 10 years) and a couple of other things, should include Visual Voicemail and should only be about $5 or at the most $10. We are up to $40 now for the iPhone. There is no reason 450 minutes couldn't go for another $20. $60 now for the iPhone. All these packages should be sold separately to add up to $60, but as an entire package on its own for a discount, say $50 or even $55. As a base package this is still profitable, especially considering the flocks of people (like us) who would sign the new TWO YEAR contract. |
