Increase wages?  That will accomplish nothing for rising oil prices...actually it'll only drive up the cost of goods and services, fill up Ottawa's coffers even more with additional income tax revenue and drive up unemployment/inflation.

Think big picture - rising oil prices are good.  It spawns innovative new technology which, in turn, will reduce petrol consumption...long term.  Plus high oil prices will get more idiots off the road (especially in Toronto).

OPEC is a huge problem for the world. They risk driving us back into a recession, like the last time they boosted prices and then subsequently had to plummet them to sell off stock.

There's reps from within the groups identified as OPEC who openly say they will drive prices up past $200 a barrel, it just is a matter of time. Hell, talks of price caps have only driven up the prices higher. We saw a $5 drop in barrel prices very recently, but unfortunately it's going right back up. Hydrogen cars finally are looking like they could have the power to slaughter the fossil fuels market, and when they don't cost a kidney, I'm getting one.

well OPEC is the USA nick name so if they say go up Canada will go up if they say go down we go down, since gas prices goes up before the OPEC increase it and beside the US is getting free oil from Iraq, so what is the running out of oil.
