So my wife called Rogers and asked about the iPhone.  The lady at the other end told her because I am a Rogers Blackberry user that wifey can piggy back off my "decent" plan with a seperate phone number and she does not have to have data plan...rogers can disable it but leave the Wi-fi intact.

Wife is getting one tonight - 8Gb model.  I think this works for those who are existing customers...not new customers.  We also had Rogers customer service log the call with all the details discussed.
