We are getting ripped off severly here in Canada. I bought a Car in the US and saved about $10000. I helped my Daughter buy one also. By way of example she got a 2006 Nissan Armada with 4000 Miles on it for $26000....again a savings of near $10000.
Range Rover Sport US starts at $59,000. Same vehicle in Canada starts at $71,600. I asked LR Canada why and they responded that they keep their prices in line with their competitors. So there's a degree of collusion going on. I keep telling the dealers, I'm not buying until the prices are much closer. I hear that there are brokers in Canada that make buying cars in the US pretty painless. I met a person who saved a lot of money buying a Porsche that way. In any market driven economy, our power lies in where we are prepared to spend our money and how much of it we are prepared to spend..
