I have been a Rogers’s customer for over 14 years and I am now ready to go elsewhere for my cell phone(s). My reason is a bit different...
After paying Rogers 30K-$40,000.00 over these many years for service I was told I am also expected to sign a new 3 year contract and start from scratch just like any newbie off the street would do. This is an absolute insult from Rogers and I am very upset to say the least!
When it comes to the Rogers monopoly the new data rates are a total disgrace (as always with both Rogers and Canada). Thankfully the Canadian government seems to be finally waking up to the fact that a monopoly is no good for price to the consumer ( see also ICBC insurance monopoly = higher rates for BC residences). Anyhow, next year the Rogers monopoly will finally be gone and I along with thousands of former Rogers’s customers will be with another service provider with (hopefully) an new iphone.
Ted Rogers, you have never understood how your bread was buttered...BY THE PEOPLE! (the long term customers you will now finally have lost) !!!
