I read some where that the government did impose the system fees back when cell phones were first starting out, to help them survive.

Now that pretty much every household has one, the cell phone companies were suppose to cancel the fees....

Right, like that will ever happen!

Those fees were NEVER EVER mandated by the government!  That's just what cell phone companies used to say to customers regarding the fee until the government told them to stop doing so because it is not a government mandated fee!
