On my frequent travels to the U.S., I see the great differences in prices on most products to the detriment of Canadians. Asides from that, even online companies with both sites, Canadian and American, have differing pricing, e.g. Amazon.com vs. Amazon.ca. On a textbook price the differences can amount up to $50.00 more on the same item. Other things make me mad-goods that used to be manufactured in Canada, or U.S., and are now manufactured in Southeast Asia, mainly China (at slave wages-leaving more in the pockets of the middlemen) have not decreased significantly in prices, e.g. Nike, Adidas, etc. Canadians are now having very few choices to purchase Canadian-made goods and our manufacturing base is being destroyed.
