Well put! The US will always be steps ahead of us. Alot of Canadians complain that we dont get what they get, but the average Canadian does not understand simple logic.

Their subscriber  base is way less than 7 mil. They still manage to provide unlimited mobile services at $50 or less.

Everything in Rogers is  a la cart , text, coverage area, voicemail etc.

They enojoy their almost monopolistic status and overcharge people.

Here is some simple logic for you. Canadians pay more for everything because we deserve to pay more. All we ever do is bitch and complain. We are too lazy to get our rear ends off the couch and actually do something about it.  Take the auto industry for example: I guarantee that if everybody who was looking at a new vehicle in the last few months (from any of the criminal auto companies in Canada) held off buying for 3 or 4 months, you would see huge changes. Every dealer lot would be overflowing with new vehicles and corporate headquarters would have no option but to make some drastic changes to the price of their cars. Instead, people complain and complain and then head right down to the dealer and buy their overpriced vehicle all the while mumbling under their breath. My neighbour did just that recently. He was whinning and crying about the auto prices and low and behold there is a new vehicle in his driveway. When i called him on it...all he said is that "they will never lower their prices". Right you are my friend because you just proved that they don't have to. This is exactly what car companies in Canada are counting on. You can't get three stupid Canadians to agree to do anything together for the common good. Nothing will ever change until a majority of people stand together and demand those changes. Stop buying the overpriced product and things will change. The same goes for cell phone providers gouging their customers. If for example Rogers or Bell or any of them decides to charge for every incoming txt msg, call that provider and either cancel your phone or tell them to drop your plan to its mimimun fee. (something like 15 bucks a month) If the Majority of people did this everything would change. But instead all you hear is people bitching and complaining and doing little else. We will continue to pay top dollar for substandard service as long as we allow it to happen. This isn't even rocket science.
