The $30 add-on for 6 GB is still a rip off, and one hasn't seen the fine print for this offer. I am absolutely certain that when we go to the Rogers store for signing up for the iPhone, and add up all the costs and read the fine print, this deal is going to be more expensive that a straight $115 plan of the iPhone.

I have lost faith in Rogers and am convinced that they are out to screw the Canadians of their hard-earned money.

But lets hope that like many many other corporates of Canada, some sensible US company takes over Rogers and make the pricing competitive for the customers.....That seems to be the only hope for Canadians consumers!!!

As a programmer on the Apple Developer's list for iPhone, this is effectively penalising my company for being Canadian.

Let's allow US cell phone service providers the option of marketing and selling their services in Canada.  Perhaps that will balance the marketplace.

Nowhere near good enough, a joke really. Nothing less than a REASONABLY priced unlimited data plan coupled with phone rates and plans comparable to the States is acceptable. There is no reasonable explanation for the prices we have to pay here to use a mobile phone, when someone from the States can come up here to Canada using their phone and only pay a fraction of what we do. We can't even drive an hour from where our phone is registered without crazy roaming charges. Something is very wrong here!!!

Thank you kindly for responding to the public criticism regarding the initial iPhone rates.  Your responsiveness to consumer concern is most welcome.  However, I feel that your response does not go far enough.  As many consumers continue to point out, Rogers has yet to offer an unlimited data plan, as well as a reasonably competitive voice rate plan.  I again raise the argument that I mentioned in my earlier posting on this site, which is that if companies such as Rogers continue to resist consumer demand, then they risk drawing the ire of not only consumers, but also politicians looking for a cause celebre.  Witness the response this week of Industry Minister Jim Prentice to plans by Telus and Bell to begin charging consumers for incoming text messages.  And this from a right-wing, supposedly business-friendly political party.  I am warning you, failure to respond to consumer concerns may be in your short-term interest, however, in the long term, you will find that Parliament will cause you more damage than you would have suffered had you simply been more responsive to consumers in the first place.
