This is a "throw them a bone" solution. Combine this with the Bell/Telus...sure we compete....Text messaging issue continues to demonstrate how Canadian wireless consumers are treated with contempt.

The unlimited data plan I can live without, but come on - can we please have more than a handful of minutes and text-messages with the basic account? No one's asking for the world here, but it sure would be great if we could have plans that match our American neighbours.

Also, Limited time offer, Rogers? Is this perhaps because you want to lock in subscribers before new providers start popping up and maybe offer us something reasonable?

PS. Evenings REALLY start at 5:00pm, but I'll accept 6:00pm.

This latest attempt to pacify the mob is not working. We need unlimited data or I will switch cellphone providers. Explain to me why you can have unlimited data plans with other Rogers phones but not the iphone. We are not idiots, we know that its the same tech, same towers. Stop insulting us.

I hear you LoL I have an absolute killer voice plan that I don't wnat to give up either. I have had even after my 3yr term was up. However, with just one web site and thousands off ppl we have brought cell phone talk to the for front of the news. That is amazing way to go I hope that the Gov't fat cats that don't have a plan b/c there sercvice is free from there jobs, realize that the rest of us real ppl have a say.

That'll do.. thanks rogers.. we all agreed that price wasn't the issue, it was what we were offered.. you can't expect basic cellphone pricing for all-in-one devices, it will cost me about 75-80 a month after fees ususing my existing voice plan which is about par with the US. Unless you plan to use iPhone to replace your home computer 6GB will do just fine (especially with automatic WiFi connectivity), don't get hooked on just having the word unlimited.

as for the time limit, its just business to create hype.. whatever, if you flat out hate rogers you aren't gonna sign up anyways, but otherwise for people who want an iPhone bad enough to start a national petition, are you really gonna wait 2 months before you get it??
