Your data plan is too costly. I will not pick up an iphone. For this reason, I changed my provider to Telus. Incidentally, your charged for each U.S. text message also fueled my decision to switch. |

So I've heard a lot of people talking about how phone plans in the USA are cheaper than here in Canada and how they have no roaming fees and their phones work all over Canada so why shouldn't Canadians get the same rates?
Well.... what's stopping people from just going over the border to the USA and signing up for a USA plan and then just using it in Canada all the time and paying USA plan prices? Maybe if enough people did it the Canadian companies would lose enough business to realize that yeah... they ARE overcharging and be forced to make their rates reasonably close to the USA's. |

I'm personally getting pretty sick of being able to be reached by phone at any time and also having to check my e-mail multiple times each day. I'm really considering canceling my cell phone so I can excuse myself for not being available - that's an alternative I suppose...

We need to petition Jim Prentice, Federal Industry Minister, to bring competition to the GSM cellular market. We need Vodaphone, Orange or even Virgin to get into the GSM band and offer competitive price plans. And we need to force Rogers/Fido to hand over the towers to a neutral company, like Bell did when they lost their monopoly on home phones. |
