http://www.primus.ca offers a Home Phone Service which is over ten dollars a month cheaper than Rogers. Call them and ask for a discount. They have offers that are not listed on their site.

I pay 45 dollars a month with Vonage for a home phone.  The service has been great.  They also gave me my 1st three months free and waved the shipping cost of the modem.  http://www.vonage.ca/

I've been with Virgin mobile for close to three years now, and i am generally happy with their service. they are very friendly and helpfull, no contracts, and no hidden fees.
 and recently i've been noticing Koodo. they seem to be pretty good as well, im almost convinced to switch from virgin to them. Koodo offers per second billing, and they also have no hidden fees. they technically dont have any contracts either, but they have some sort of wierd credit, to your phone, system, that almost ammounts to the same thing as a contract, but not as bad.
i recomend looking into both if you are thinking about leaving rogers, or telus and bell for that matter.

If your looking for a data phone your best option is bell with their $30 unlimited for most data phones and the upcoming $10 unlimited for the touch screen samsung instinct. If your looking for a regular phone Solo Mobile offers the best rates in the industry and has the LG Rumour which is pretty cool.

Im not 100% sure but telus may of some sort too... I know they offer it for their upcoming touch screen HTC Touch Diamond (which looks amazing btw)

Koodo mobile is a wholly owned subsidiary of Telus, they do not charge the system access fee as Telus does so that customers who are angry with Telus end up still doing business with them. If Telus wasn't busy screwing customers they would not charge the SAF.

I can't wait until they stop offering unlimited data which they certainly launched believing Rogers would do so for the iPhone.

Bell and Telus decided to start charging for incoming text messages. I called and demanded they block text messaging features on my account.

The irony is that Rogers released a statement that they would not be charging for incoming messages and they believe this is what makes them different from the other carriers, funny of course because I thought their iPhone ripoff scheme was what did it.
