Has anyone noticed the high cost of fuel these days? The effort against Rogers is likely to have a positive effect. So, why not pick one or two multinational oil companies - like Shell and Imperial oil and boycott their products (maybe we should hang the commodities traders and speculators as well). Perhaps a message needs to be sent here also. The people really do have the power to make change. Poor Taste?

We are all slaves to the oil companies, they make unimaginable profits and laugh at us. We need to do something. I'm in for a boycott.

I actually think that we should send a message to the car manufacturers and refuse to buy any vehicles that are gas powered. They made them before and destroyed them all. Watch "Who Killed The Electric Car". If we stop buying I guarantee they'll all have a production model by the end of the year.

Remember that a huge chunk of your fuel cost is federal and provincial taxes plus GST. The governments are complicit in the windfall too. Its not just the oil companies.

Lets face it. If the Gov drops or decreases the tax, the price of gas will remain the same, except the money will go to the oil companies. As long as demand remains, so will the price.

Gas prices are based on many factors. We get higher prices because we don't buy as much from the oil companies point of view. So yeah, its a bulk price issue. Plus we get higher gas prices because of prov. and fed. taxes as well. It sucks. It is currently $1.52/L in BC. Now we have the carbon tax .... total rubbish!

I walk. I live, work, and play within a 6 blocks. Thats the way it should be buy loacl and loacles work. don't be a slave the the better deal ask the guy at the coner to match the price I bet he just didn't see the ad from his cross town rivals. My point is we got to big to fast to soon. Just buy shit from your freinds down the street you don't need a 25L tub of mayo from the Cost-Co, or Maga Giant Supper Big Saver stores their is 4 people in you house and 1 of them doesn't even like mayo. All I am saying is don't dive to the store if it is ten minute walk, buy loacaly and support your community. Finaly too much shit is bad for you so love your life not your stuff.
