Remember too, a 400 mb Iphone plan is LESS than one CD of data. 1 CD = 750 Megs of Data In fact, it's just over a half a CD (375 Megs) 400 Megs was a lot when data 30 minutes a meg to download... but times have changed... It's a pity Rogers still thinks we're running Commodore 64's Poor Taste?

Are you really going to use more than that on your phone though? I would venture to guess no. That said, I think they should have an unlimited first month so customers can see what they will use roughly.

Ummm just fire up the map program. My first month I used over a gig of data. Trust me... everything and I do mean everything on the first iPhone eats data. I never ever surf on mine except via WiFi either. Trust me... 400 megs will be gone in no time for the majority of people.

Well, my Nokia 6300 came with 512 Megs of storage plus 8 on the phone itself... I quickly upgraded to a 2 gig memory...

Brad, you are a very naive guy or just plain non intelligent. I currently have an iPhone in the states with AT&T. I've checked my usage for last month on the EDGE network and it was over 2GB. I only used it occasionally for checking email or browsing the internet. The iPhone will use up a lot of data since everything about it is internet based. Now, it has a GPS, guess how that will effect your data usage. The average web page has already tripled in size since 2003. The number of objects like texts, images, applets, video, audio per web page doubled in the same period. In other words, web pages are getting bigger. If you didn't know, the iPhone displays a full web page like in your pc or mac. It's not a mobile version of a web page, it's the real deal like Steve Jobs said. So, you obviously don't know much about the iPhone capabilities and how much data it uses. Canadians are getting jacked by Rogers. You guys need a real GSM competitor to Rogers and get your MP's to pass legislation against Rogers monopoly.

Brad I think you are right, I also agree they should have unlimited data like they do on all their other devices when you go on a 3 year term just to figure out how much exactly your using. As for "John Connors" reply, you are a complete retard. There is no was in hell you are "occasionally" using it to check emails or surf the internet. Your full of shit at 2 gigs. Either that or your phone is screwed.

Just making sure everyone is aware that the MB used on a MOBILE PHONE and on your internet are different? Mobile phones compact things, generally 400MB is going to allow you 3000 web pages monthly. If it's not enough then don't get that plan.

Just to let you know, I went to open cnn.com and that one page alone cost me 600kbs. Yes, the iPhone uses up data like there's no tomorrow. I didn't even use youtube or any of that junk. 2GB was just occasional browsing. I used wifi most of the time. Even with 6GB offered as the new plan by Rogers is not enough if you are going to fully utilize the iPhone. It is really like having the internet in your pocket. You can basically look up anything. Anyone ask you a question and you don't know the answer, you can just wip out your iphone and google it. You will end up using it more often then you think. Yes, one simple page is about 600kbs. Just imagine if you used the weather & stocking checking, email, youtube, facebook, GPS, and internet browsing..6GB is nothing

People, this is the iPhone and not that crackberry crap. You will be browsing a full web page, not a mobile version or a compact version. It's a full web page. I read 2 web pages, went to iPhone stats and it already said 1000 kbs.
