I'm more than a little concerned about Oilchange's "acquisition" of ruinediphone.com. Like thousands of other Canadians, I watched with excitement as the petition grew in size, and as major media outlets began to take notice. It's been a couple of days now, and ruinediphone.com's petition rates have completely stalled, no new blog posts, and instead redirecting traffic to this site - which is completely unorganized and lacks the simplicity of the petition in the first place. I'm hoping to see some kind of action through this acquisition by Oilchange, because looking at the canadians.com site, I don't see what value (if any) it's offering.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for ANY action against Rogers and their absurd pricing for the iPhone 3G. I just hope that this move doesn't dilute the effort.
