I agree, Rogers practices are very short-sighted.  At the end of the day this is the governments fault though.  Rogers' obligations are to its shareholders, the government's is to the people.

I believe that Rogers is the most competetive carrier out there (ignoring the whole iPhone 3G mess-up), I just moved to Canada from Europe and Canadians should really look up Euro plans before complaining. Unlimited local calling for over 12 hours a day? That's unheard of in a basic phone plan.

If your plan is too expensive just go to a Rogers store and change your plan without recommitment(!!!!).

You know, it's been six months since the Finance Minister told us all that Canadian prices should be more in line with U.S. ones after retailers worked through the old stock.  Funny, I'm STILL seeing higher prices for like goods in the U.S.  Government in this country is too cowardly to stand up to big business.  Where are the promised price breaks?  Why am I paying up 40% more for the same product?
