No Chris, the minimum plan would not work for you. I have an iPhone with att right now in Seattle. I'm glad they offer an unlimited data plan for 20 bucks per month, it's a bargain compared to Rogers proposed data plans. I have checked my usage and just over last weekend, I browse the net for about 30 mins and it already used up over 1GB of data. So, 400MB is a joke unless you will not use internet services without a WIFI. But, everything about the iPhone is internet based. The weather, stock price, GPS, email, internet all require connection to data services. The GPS just for one trip would probably exceed the 400MB. Basically the iPhone becomes useless when you leave your home WiFi. Don't be naive, the iPhone gives you the full web page when browsing with it's safari browser. These days, the average web page will contain over 300kbs of data. If you plan to buy the iPhone, you cannot afford to use any of it's internet services outside of your WiFi.
